In addition, I plunged head first into the rabbit hole that is YouTube. While reading is still very much a key source of learning and entertainment for me, researching football coaching tactics made me realize just how potent video can be. This is especially true for coaching football: video can vividly illustrate techniques, practice drills, game situations, and more.
To best organize the valuable videos I came across, I created playlists for coaching each position group. Then, several years later I began posting videos to my own YouTube channel.
It started innocently enough, posting recordings from a Green Bay Packers youth football coaching clinic so the guys who coached with me but couldn't attend were able to learn what we learned. As it turned out, these videos were viewed thousands of times, which indicated that there were other people out there searching for exactly the same information I was in the beginning. So I began recording and posting videos from other camps, our practices, and more. It's been fun and educational, and I plan to create more video going forward.
